Dr. Armstrong has more than 20 years of experience in the mental health field. She is a Licensed Psychologist specializing in Forensic and Clinical practice. She also is a Registered Nurse and retains her expertise as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing.

Dr. Armstrong is available for consultation on cases involving litigants suffering from or alleging a wide range of psychological disorders as a consequence of a variety of injuries with a specialty in expertise in crisis and trauma. She has experience with individual as well as mass tort cases. She is available for case consultation, Independent Medical Evaluation and media consultation.

Most recently Dr. Armstrong appeared on the Investigation Discovery (ID) Channel’s true crime show Wicked Attractions, episode Blood Brothers. On the show, Dr. Armstrong offers an insightful explanation of the behavior and motivation behind the crimes of a pair of serial murderers. Dr. Armstrong welcomes media inquiries for consultation of issues of a psychological nature, including news, documentary and true (or fictional) crime media consultation.

Dr. Armstrong has consulted with probation staff and offers the required Cognitive Behavioral Training seminar "Changing Offender Behavior" to probation agencies around the state. She has also developed a module for "Sexual Harassment in the Workplace" seminars, another state requirement for businesses of 50 or more employees.

Dr. Armstrong maintains her expertise through ongoing professional activities and continuing education. She is a Content Expert with the California Board of Psychology, and participates in the writing of the examination for psychologists. She is also an approved Evaluator for the Board of Registered Nursing.
